     The Address Book is used to store email addresses and mailing lists (Groups). You can access your Address Book by clicking on the "Addresses" button on the Action Bar. There are several ways to add addresses to your book. When you first access the Address Book, you will see the following screen:

From here you can manually add an address, by typing a nickname into the "Name", a valid address in the "Email Address" field and clicking the "Add Address" button. The address will be added to your book and you can continue adding address at will. When you are done, either click the "Inbox" or the "Close" button. The other method for adding an address is done from the the Read Message screen: click on the Sender's nickname (or address) and a window will pop-up asking you to confirm adding them to the Address Book. If you click yes, the system will automatically add the appropriate information to your book (it will also create one for you if you do not have one yet).

     You can also create distribution lists or Groups just as easily. Before you can create a group, you must have at least one address in book. Then click the "Add Group" button at the bottom of the page (you'll notice the "Add Group" and "Add Address" switch positions - click the Add Address button to go back to the main Address Book screen). You then need to type a nickname for your Group in the "Name" field and select each address you want to include in the group by checking next to the appropriate ones. When you are finished, click the "Add Group" button on the top right, and your book will be updated accordingly. Below is an example of a Address Book with Groups (shown as Distribution Lists on the page):

     There are several other buttons on the page as well which will be detailed below:

Sort by Freq. / Name
Click this button to quickly resort your address book alphabetically or frequencies of mailings to that address. The system tracks the number of times you send to an address in your address book. This makes it easier for you to keep your "favorites" at the top of list regardless of how long it gets.
Send Message
Check off which address(es) you want to send to and click the "Send Message" button. The selected addresses will automatically be placed in the "To" field of a blank new message screen for you. Alternatively, if you click on the nickname for a given address, that single address will be placed the "To" field of a blank new message screen for you.

Clicking on the "[edit]" link next to any address will let you make changes to the nickname and email address for that particular entry.
Confirm Delete
Check off which address(es) you want to remove and click the "Confirm Delete" button. You will be taken to a screen that lists the selected entries and prompts you to confirm their deletion. If you click "Yes", those entries will be permanently delete from the system. (Note: there is no way here can recover those entries once you confirm there deletion. They are gone forever.)
